First – Start on the top left and make a horizontal line to the right.

Second –  Starting on the left make a slightly slanted vertical line down. Third – Starting on the right make a slightly slanted vertical line down. *You’ll notice that on the computer or when printed in books/newspapers the “” looks more straight up and down. This is just the font its printed with – the written character is a little slanted when done correctly. ph1

Fourth. At the bottom, make a vertical line from left to right. It should be the same size as the top line.
